Bio

Harry Gold is a Bay Area blues and jazz guitarist, pianist, arranger and singer who has performed all over the United States, and Europe. He is also an producer, audio engineer and Avid Certified Instructor. He teaches Pro Tools and Sibelius at several schools in the area. He also runs Fools Gold Studios, a recording studio based in Berkeley, CA specializing in live recording. He is very excited to host “Live at Fool’s Gold” a live show of local and touring musicians recorded in front of an audience.

He currently works as an Adjunct Professor at Foothill College and Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He teaches classes in Pro Tools, Logic, Music Production, Score Preparation, and Arranging for their Composition, and Sound Design Programs. Previously, Harry worked for 8 years helping develop and direct the music program at Holden High School in Orinda, CA. He started the school’s first audio engineering program, and was able to certify students as Pro Tools Operators in music and post-production. Besides performing and teaching, Harry has been a working as a luthier, repairing and building guitars for over a decade. He gives private lessons in music production, and on guitar and piano to students of all experience levels.
